Privacy Policy

Who we are

Loan Ready is provided by 5 Cs Business Solutions Inc. ("we"), a New Brunswick, Canada company. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Our privacy officer can be reached at privacy@beloanready.com.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and display name, and a hashed password.
• Payment records: what you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment processor, and we do not store them.
• A usage record for each assessment: the date and the result band (for example, "Strong candidate").
• If you came through a partner (an accountant, credit union or similar): that connection, and the results of each assessment, meaning your score, the ratios behind it, your net worth totals, the loan amount you asked about, and your credit and experience ranges.
• If an advisor ran Loan Ready for you in their office: the same results, kept without your name unless you agreed in person to your name being recorded.
• A security record of sign-in attempts: the email address used, the time, and whether the attempt worked. We use it to block repeated guessing of passwords.
• Feedback, if you choose to send it: your rating and comment. We use it only to improve Loan Ready, and we publish it only if you tick the box allowing that.
• Partner enquiries, if you contact us about becoming a partner: your name, organization, email address and message.

The raw figures you type in (revenue, expenses, debt payments and similar) are used to calculate your result and are not stored.

Why we use it

To run your account, calculate and show your results, process payments, keep Loan Ready secure, prepare the reports described below for partners, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with lenders.

What a partner can see

By default a partner sees only anonymous reports, such as how many clients it referred and how ready they are as a group. Groups smaller than five are not shown. A partner can see an individual report with your name, email and result details only if you agree, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time using the sharing switch on the calculator page or by contacting us. Withdrawal applies from that point on.

Who else handles it

Service providers handle information on our behalf: our database is hosted with Supabase in Canada; payments are processed by Stripe; Loan Ready itself is hosted by our application hosting provider; and email for our domain is handled by IONOS and Google. Some of these providers may process information on servers outside Canada, where local laws may allow authorities to access it. We require them to protect it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep assessment results for up to 24 months after your last activity, then delete or fully anonymize them. We keep account details until you ask us to delete your account, and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Sign-in attempt records are kept for 90 days, sign-in sessions for up to 30 days after they expire, optional feedback for up to 24 months, and partner enquiries for up to 12 months.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw a consent, by emailing privacy@beloanready.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent to store results may limit what we can offer.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
